Dark Elements

Unique & One of a Kind Artwork

About

Here we specialize in the unique, the interesting, the you will not find it elsewhere. I am the Boneman and Dark Elements is my brain child. It is a place for me to share my art with the world. Our tag line has become “Bone, Stone, Flesh and Metal” basically the materials I use the most.

Bone is the material I prefer to use in most of my artwork. Some would ask why would you use bone? Well, all culture used bone for a variety of things such as tools, ritual items, decorations, etc in the past. Today we merely throw them away after finishing dinner. I figured why waste them when they could be used and found I possessed a natural affinity with working with bone. Now, I am constantly attempting to come up with more and more ideas and ways to take my art to the next level. If you peruse the gallery you will see a variety of things from bone motorcycles to bone knives.

Stones are usually used as accompaniments or an add on to finish a piece off. Who knows, maybe I will eventually come across a piece of stone that yells, “make me into a piece by myself.” Either that or my wife will come up with something (she is a geologist so stones are her business)

Flesh or as most people would call it, hides and leather. Occasionally, I use leather or fur in my pieces but I have also been known to make standalone pieces as well. Some of the pieces I have made out of leather would include drums and drum beaters but who knows what I might come up with for the future.

Metal is mostly used as an accompaniment, however, I anticipate using metal more in the future.

If you are interested in buying one of my pieces, go to our Etsy shop at https://www.etsy.com/shop/DarkElements to see what we currently have available for sale. If you do not see something that you are looking for or have an idea for something, we can do custom orders as well. If you are interested in a custom piece send me a message through the contact form with your idea and we will go from there.
